Pastel Crystal Bracelet, Rose Quartz and Serenity Beaded Charm Bracelet

Thanks to “spring cleaning”, this pastel crystal bracelet was created.

I was cleaning my bead stash and noticed I have a lot of clear and light crystals and that I have not used for a long time in my pieces. Cleaning forgotten, I started playing with the beads and was thinking whether I should go all out on the whites or have another color to partner with it.  In the process, Pantone 2016 color came to mind; Rose Quartz and Serenity.

Image result for PANTONE COLOR 2016 COMBO

Now, I decided to choose the lightest spectrum of the Pantone color, so the palest pink and blue.  I wanted the clear crystals to be the host and the pink and blue the guests.  This will be an airy, ephemeral color palette.

I started wire wrapping a mixture of transparent and translucent crystals (rose quartz, Chinese crystals and Swarovski Elements) in pale pink, light blue, clear and milky white beads.  I was experimenting between silver or antique bronze wires but decided to go with the antique bronze.  The antique bronze wire gives a nice contrast with the pale and light beads.

I am very happy on how the cool light sky blue and warm soft pale pink crystals cast a haze of color and play up the variety of shape and texture onto the mix of clear and frosted multi faceted beads for this wire wrapped crystal bracelet.

How this crystal bracelet sparkles and shines beautifully with the light! I love how the beads appear to dance with the light. Now it would be just grand if I could capture that in my photos.

I was going over to my Etsy shop to list this bracelet but I am happy to say it has already found a new home.

You may notice that I am going through the beaded charm bracelet phase.  Just needed some fun, movement and easy to make pieces for now.

And not forgetting, I have yet to finish my cleaning of my bead stash......

Peridot Bracelet, Green Gemstone Bracelet, Cluster Bracelet

I love the vivid green of the Peridot which has just a slight hint of yellow.  It is the ideal gemstone color to go with summer and no wonder, as Peridot is the birthstone for the month of August.  You will notice too that the fashion world has started to rediscover green and falling in love with it all over again.

So what better way to celebrate August - make a peridot bracelet!!! And what a better way to use my stash of peridot chips I bought years ago.

The green peridot chips are carefully and individually wire wrapped onto a brass-plated chainlink.  I added some Czech lavender flower and round beads for a little color.  Like walking through a meadow with little wild purple flowers.  A place with butterflies and dragonfly flitting by....  Heavenly!

I shall name this My Dream Meadow :-
in the meadow of my dream
i smell of joy
in the meadow of my heart
i dream of love

I found a pretty brass plated flower toggle clasp to complete this beautiful cluster bracelet.

Since there were some leftover chips, I made a pair of cluster earrings for this green gemstone bracelet.

Hop over to my Etsy shop for these beauties.

Fluorite Bracelet, Flower Bracelet, Celebration

This fluorite bracelet was made to celebrate every moment of the good times, the laughter.....
those special moments in our life...

I dont often use such light pastel colors, but every so often,
all the colors are a match in heaven and
all the beads just fall in place.
I am pretty pleased with how this flower bracelet turned out.

Flowers always makes me happy and reminds me of fresh, new and growth and are almost always flowers are present during a celebration. So I added the flower and leaf to the wire wrapped green and purple fluorite which framed the antiqued silver plated pewter oval link. Amethyst and chrysoprase Swarovski Elements crystals dangles prettily in between the fluorites. I finished the celebration bracelet with a decorative round toggle clasp and added a fairly sized maple leaf charm to complete the nature inspired bracelet.

Remember this song? Celebration by Kool & the Gang

"Celebrate good times, come on!
Let's celebrate

There's a party goin' on right here
A celebration to last throughout the years
So bring your good times and your laughter too
We gonna celebrate and party with you

Come on now, celebration
Let's all celebrate and have a good time
Celebration......

Hematite Bracelet, Sea Glass Bracelet

I have been trying to create  a piece with these hematite rings for some time now.  They have been in and out of my stash box countless times and each time the pieces I designed left me unsatisfied with how they turned out.... However, this time....I am truly happy with this piece.

These frosted sea glass beads , which I purchased from FireSpirit, when combined with the hematite rings reminds me of the night sea glowing like molten silver by the moonlight....  The silver coated faceted Czech beads gives the hematite bracelet a little more silvery sheen.   To finish this aqua bracelet, I used a decorative black-toned oval toggle clasp.

Tidbits : Hematite means "blood stone" in Latin.  Strange, is it not, when we are more familiar with the polished and silvery grayish black hematite.  Hematite, it seems, in their natural form is red with rust as hematite is an iron oxide ore.  So that is how Hematite was called blood stone.

Blue Sea Glass Bracelet is now listed in my Etsy shop.

Sea Glass Bracelet, Ladybug Bracelet, Blue and Brown

For the sea glass lovers...

and for the ladybug lovers.....

I bought these sea glass beads from FireSpirit a couple of years ago and never got to using them for what I intended to.  I finally took them out from my bead collection, sat down  and started playing with it and voila! - my blue sea glass bracelet with a ladybug.

The ladybug is a mint Czech Picasso glass bead with copper inlay, which I bought from MayaHoney along with gold color Greek ceramic spacer beads which adds depth to the  bracelet.  The chalk turquoise beads adds a pop of color  and the silver tone heishi  beads provides a little glint and glimmer to this bracelet.  I secured it with a round brass-plated toggle clasp and added a pretty rose and leaf charm to it.

I like the blue and brown color scheme. It is a versatile color and would look good on a casual t-shirt and jeans day or stack it for the layer look.  Suggestion - Wear it with cream top and black pants and finished it with a brown/blue cropped jacket.

This Ladybug Bracelet is available in my Etsy shop now.

Pearl and Gemstone Bracelet, Custom Order, Norah

This was a custom order to re-style this bracelet that has been in my friend's jewelry box for many years; left unworn and forgotten until her recent spring cleaning of her jewelry collection.

I love the dark gold, white and the green combination of the double strand bracelet.
It is a reminiscent of  the falling leaves of autumn.

I have to admit re-doing a bracelet using beads that was not of my choice was not an easy matter as I thought it would be but .......

after much tweaking......VIOLA!!!!

I added an acrylic flower which has a dark gold finished as the focal point and started re-arranging the beads  around it.  The multiple materials in warm hues creates a pearl and gemstone bracelet full of texture and colors.

Materials used :
citrine chips, freshwater pearls in green, dark gold and white,
an acrylic flower finished, a brass-plated s-hook clasp.

I am happy to say that she LOVED it!!!!

This is custom made for a very pretty child of a good friend.  Husna has beautiful black curly hair and eyes that would melt your heart.

Crystal Wrap Bracelet, Spring Blossoms

This crystal wrap bracelet is inspired by the colors of flowers I saw in a picture from a book of flowers,
Bright  yellow and sunny orange.  It is like a jolt of sunshine!!!  Happiness and Spring comes  to my mind....
So to celebrate this jolt of sunshine,
I designed this delicate bracelet using chinese crystals in jonquil and sun colors for Happiness...
and added some beautiful grass green maple Czech leaves for the Spring......

Hence; my Spring Blossoms.

Green Turquoise Bracelet, Yara

Turquoise has been considered a sacred gemstone for thousand of years.  The ancient Chinese, Egyptians and native Americans believed that turquoise protected the wearer from unnatural death and disaster.
It is said that wearing turquoise jewelry is said to enhance wisdom, trust, kindness and understanding.

I loved the matrix pattern of  chalk turquoise and I wanted these greenish-brown turquoise to be the main focal attraction, hence the simplicity of this bracelet.  I finished it with a beautiful designed toggle clasp and made the dangles with bronze swarovski crystal pearls.

Hop over to my Etsy shop now.

Flower Bookmark - Pretty Pink Roses

"Never let it rain,
never let it rain on the heart of the
pretty pink roses"

Beaded Bookmarks, Mermaid Bookmark, Elephant Bookmark, Sold

I bought this brass elephant charm from Fire Mountain Gems and it was beautifully engraved.  It had the markings of an Indian elephant which has the blanket/fleece covering their head and body.  As such, I chose colors like saffron/orange/ochre, white and purple.

I chose pearls for my elephant bookmark as pearls are abound in Indian jewelry.

I wire wrapped the chocolate, peach, rosaline, lilac and light blue faux pearls onto brass plated flowers with rhinestones.

I decided to name the beaded bookmark "Colors of India".

"Sweet Genevieve!
In beauty's light you glide along
Your eye is like the star of eve
And sweet your voice, as seraph's song
Fair, as the bosom of the swan
That rises graceful over the wave"

I square stitched this rose-pattern from a Bead & Button magazine.
I love the soft palette of pinks accented with green and gold.

It fits beautifully with the gold bookmark.

Since it reminds me of  Victorian-era needlework, I named this beaded boolmark, Victoria.

Dragon Bookmark, Gold Bookmark, Love Goes on, SOLD

This bright gold dragon bookmark has scales engraved down on both sides.

Now gold dragons are believed to be the strongest and most majestic.  They were considered the apex of the dragon species. However, dragons are also known to be loyal and fierce.  Now loyalty, i believed, is based on respect and respect is nothing more than the fruit of love - the most sincere form of affection one individual can give to another.

Hence, I wanted to combine love with the dragon.  A little softness with the hard.

I chose the pretty glass heart-shaped lampwork bead with beautiful rose pink flower
to signify, what else if not, love.

It is accented with green opal and metallic gold  Chinese crystal beads.

A shooting star tumbles down
Its flame cannot endure
A scarlet rose withers brown
To lose its fragrant lure
The moon illuminates the nights
To vanish at dawn
Oh but love, love goes on....
